A Song Inspired Card

Hello all!

What is that? I can't hear you, wait... let me lower the volume on my headphones. Well, the local fire department is celebrating Fire Prevention Week - so I decided to celebrate something completely irrelevant on the blog -- music week. This week's posts are music inspired. I love music! I think its art that inspires art! So, here's the first of two music inspired posts.

The Card -
The Song: A Sky Full of Stars
The Artist: Coldplay

Here we go...

I love the results of this card. I'm in love with this card. What did I use? Some cotton twine, a star puncher, gold foil card stock, letter stamps, and ink pad.

For the lyrics, I used embossing letters. Yep, I have an old set from memory makers. It is really easy to use. Yes, I could've used good old rubber stamps, but I didn't I want the words to have that 'old typewriter' feeling (my typewriter(s) is currently under restoration - it's going to take a while lol.)

So there you go - a music inspired card. A beautiful song that makes a great card.
Just a side note, if you use lyrics in a card remember to add who wrote the song in a little corner in the back of the card - they worked hard to make the song happen :) .

In case you've never heard of the song that inspired my card, here's the music video and dance on! woot - woot!

Kisses,

Rosie
